Minister Dialogue with Banceuy Prisoners according to Prison Riots

BANDUNG - Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Yasonna Laoly, took time to talk with inmates when visiting Banceuy Penitentiary, at Jalan Soekarno-Hatta, Bandung, Saturday (04/23/2016).

He analyzed what is the cause of riots and burning of a number of buildings in prisons around 08.00 pm at Banceuy Penitentiary.

It's about PP (Perpres: Presidential Rules) Number 99th of 2012 on the restriction of remission. According to him, many inmates complained about their restrictions such remission. Restrictions remission was unfair because some inmates got remission and some are not, so many inmates are frustrated because of it.

"PP 99th had to be revised. Moreover, the arrested junkies are nearly 60 thousand people, the approach should be different. We afraid as the issue rising, could triggers people to explode," said Yasonna.

Remission problem was addressed by prison inmates during a dialogue with Yasona Banceuy Laoly.

In addition, said Yasonna, no information of inmates who died from torture. But its unclear and needs to be proven. The authorities needs to conduct an internal investigation on the existence of the information.

Not only that, the trees are tough and durable natural "fort" that protect us from extreme natural events such as hurricanes, floods, landslides and snowstorms. The longer the trees grew and settled in one place, the stronger is the protection provided.

Today, April 22, 2016 Earth Day is celebrated by the whole population of the world. It is important to remember that Earth Day is not just a celebration. Let's do the simple things that we can to save the planet!

Celebrating Kartini Day

Kartini Day in Indonesia Date in the current year:April 21, 2016

Kartini Day, also referred to as Women Emancipation Day, is an Indonesian holiday that commemorates Raden Ajeng Kartini. She was the first Indonesian feminist and is considered a national heroine of Indonesia.

Kartini was born on April 21, 1879, into an aristocratic Javanese family with a strong intellectual tradition. At the time, Java was ruled by the Dutch colonial administration. Her father allowed her to attend school, where she learned to speak Dutch. At the age of 12, however, she had to leave school, but continued to read books to learn as much as she could.

When she had to withdraw from school because she was of noblebirth, she corresponded with Dutch friends telling of her concern both for the plight of Indonesians under colonial ruleand for the restricted lives of Indonesian women. She married in 1903 and began a fight for the right of women to beeducated and against the unwritten but all-pervading Javanese law, Adat .

While reading Dutch newspapers, she became interested in the issues of emancipation of women and other problems of Indonesian society. She view the feminist movement as a part of wider sociopolitical movement. 

She died in 1904 at the age of 25, after the birth of her first child. Her letters were published in 1911 under the title,Door duisternis tot licht ("Through Darkness into Light"), and created support for the Kartini Foundation, which openedthe first girls' school in Java in 1916.

Kartini Day was established in 1964 by Sukarno, the first President of Indonesia. It marks her birth anniversary.

Marshanda father's story that became a beggar, at first glance like a soap opera

Man named Irwan Yusuf, secured by service officers of Supervision and Social Control (P3S) South Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Friday afternoon (25/03/2016). Irwan secured from the area of Jalan Bangka, Mampang, South Jakarta.

This news became boisterous, after Irwan claimed Marshanda as his biological father of the celebrity. South Jakarta Social Agency officer said, Irwan also claimed he living as a vagrant for three months.

Head of South Jakarta Social, Mursyidin, strengthen the recognition of the quoted residents around the site Irwan secured. "People are helping officers and statement that the beggar IS Marshanda's father. They ask for help to the officers to be brought to the orphanage because there begging, he feel sad about that," said Mursyidin, cited Tempo.co, Sunday (27/3).

Monday morning (28/3), Marshanda finally went to Social Institution Bina Insan Power 2, cipayung. Marshanda also confirmed that Irwan is her biological father.

"I was told by a friend, who sent the link news. And it is true, he was my father," said the actress, whose name risen since become the main character in the famous soap opera titled "Bidadari"

Indonesia CNN cited, the owner's full name Andriani Marshanda it also admitted that she had two years losing communication with his father.

"I've lost contact two years with him. So for me this is actually good news, i can see dad again. From the beginning every time I see dad, his financial situation is very tough," said Marshanda. She also claimed that during this time she had tried to help her father as much as possible.

Why Marshanda father became a beggar?

Marriage between Irwan and Marshanda's mother, Rianti Sofyan has long foundered. The couple divorced when Marshanda was five years old, other version of story mentioned eight years. When her parents got separated, Marshanda was not famous as now.

Before parted, the couple Irwan-Rianti had lived in Jalan Lembang, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Marshanda, Aldrian, and Allysa. The couple also had time to work together to manage the hotel business. As Rianti Sofyan, until today, still listed as Vice President Commissioner of PT. Sofyan Hotels Tbk.

Referring Detikcom reports, after the divorce, Irwan had worked in a garage, in the number of Bangka, South Jakarta. Later, the workshop was bankrupt, Irwan was fired without severance.

Irwan faced with numbers of economic matters, ranging from business to pay rent to the meal matter. With that conditions, Irwan decided to live by begging --wishing  people's compassionate in the streets.

"He (Irwan) begging because confused and hungry. Paying rent was hard. The only way is to ask mercy of those on the road," explains Head of South Jakarta Social Agency, Mursyidin, quoted by Kompas.com.

To Detikcom, Mursyidin mention that it also acted professionally in securing Irwan, with reference to local regulations. "We're a professional working alone, anyone who violates Perda 8 of 2007 concerning public order will be dealt with firmly, including PMKS (with social welfare problems)," said Mursyidin.

Marshanda missing her dad

In May 2015, through Instagram account @ marshanda99, Caca --familiar Marshanda nickname-- able to send photos and text, which contains the phrase longing for the father.

"Dad .. your house is with me. And the universe will unite us back, so wait for me ... I'll be back for you. Because I love you," according to the posting.

After Irwan secured by South Jakarta Social Agency, Marshanda redistribute her old photo with her father.

"My father was a good man. He does not cheat, hurts others, so if any news according to papa went out in the media, I do not feel shocked, sad, or embarrassed. I respect daddy no matter who he is," excerpts of comments Marshanda in Instagram account @ Marshanda99, Monday (28/3).
